Put-Put-Ponder

Well, I have realized 10 new things today.

1. The visor on my full face helmet reverberates sound very well.
2. My drive home form work is too long.
3. My drive to work is too fast.
4. My drive home is too boring.
5. My drive to work is too exciting.
6. My muffler works just a little bit too well.
7. My motorcycle engine is a 4 stroke and also too small.
8. I don't have enough to think about.
9. I'm not completely grown up.
10.I'm not self conscious.
11. I can spell 'reverberates' without the spell check flashing, but I can't spell 'conscious'.

12. I can't count.

Anyways, I was running behind this morning and therefore it took only 9 minutes to get to work. I saved time because my tires barely touched the ground and therefore less drag? I think I caught the Bediscomfortus flu...

On the way home, it took me 20 minutes, just putting along at a decent pace. As I stopped for the red light, I heard this racing bike shifting gears. It was one of those two stroke racing bikes, like the one I had for a few months but sold... because I was sure I'd find a way to kill myself on it, and it was more fun and excitement than comfiness for my long legs on a bike built for a Keebler Elf.. I had a habit of pulling wheelies on the straights, and sparking the kickstand when I turned corners. Anyways, back to the bike. I heard this bike shifting gears only to realize that the noise was coming from within my helmit, yep, it was me.

I began to question the cause of this, I wasn't driving/flying (my boss calls my driving) like Chuck Yeager, I really had no desire to do so. I was just toolin' along waiting for the road to end and there really wasn't much traffic at all. I wasn't in a hurry, strange for me, something I've been working on, I always seem to be in a hurry, even when I'm just randomly driving lost around the city on a Sunday afternoon. So, I just can't figure it out. Why do I feel this self conscious need to make an engine shifting noise when I'm already sitting on a loud motorbike that shifts? My bike does set off car alarms when it's working hard, but I think it's the vibration rather than the noise, it sounds more like a Harley than a Suzuki.

I think I'm a good driver... as in skill, maybe not restraint. I think I see more than the average person and I think I have good reflexes that I don't have to think about. Also, aside from the first 2 weeks, I haven't smacked anything up in 3 years.

I've moved my work schedule so that I don't have to race anywhere, mornings are the occasional exception, but no amount of rescheduling will ever fix that. Secondly, Candy still has a problem with breaking the sound barrier on two wheels, so until I install a drag chute, I must keep my bike subsonic. We have a fairly good compromise going now,

Maximum Speed =
[as fast as I like - (6km/hour x {traffic density + alleys + red lights - familiarity)] x .85
= Compromise.

Anyways, driving slower to work and driving slower with Candy has generally made my other driving slower, good, I think.

Anyways, why am I making noises? Your turn to comment.

Spicin' it up.

Well, first, Candy got mad at me because my Chinese sucked and we had some communication errors about nothing important, actually, something that didn't even matter at all. It must be frustrating for her. Anyways, went for lunch and all was good.

Tonight, I bought her some Sushi and we watched Need For Speed, Tokyo Drift in the living room and she was kind enough to feed me sushi... she tried to kill me. Wasabi and canker sores just don't mix, nope, not at all... but it was damn good sushi.
