Pass the buck

So, as I got robbed a few days ago, I took the oppurtunity to 'pass the buck'.

I robbed a lizard. We left our hut on the beach for a slightly larger hut... but with air con, hot water and a fridge. Our old hut only had a fan, cold shower (not bad at all) and some ants in the shower. Anyways, we walked into our new hut and Candy turned on the bathroom light and scared the crap out of a little green gekko from under the sink... It dropped it's $3000Baht and ran like hell out the bathroom vent. So, we are about $100CAN better off thanks to Yoda's little brother. Also, we found a better hut for almost the same price.

Karma must be on our side.

On a side note, Candy insisted on going to 7-11 to buy Mini-Yoda some sweets 'cause he gave us some cash, whatever floats your boat. We told the rental office that we found some cash in the bathroom and if they tell us how much it is and where it was, we'll send it directly to the previous tennant. I think we're safe.

So, today, we relaxed on the white sand, then floated in the sea for a few hours and ate cobs of corn barbecued by people walking the beach, just watching our coke bottles float by. Corn, 50cents, barbecued infront of you and 50 cent cokes delivered by kayak, he even swings by shore to nab us our corn. Our hut isn't ON the beach anymore, our new found shack is at least 40 feet away from the beach. I'm buying a hammok today, I found two palm trees on the beach that are just right, this whole place is a beach so I can have it all to myself. TYomorrow, I make daycamp with my iPod and books. This morning, the sea was like glass, a mirror, tonight, it was about as calm as the lake gets on a good day.

Well, off to meet some friends for drinds dinner and maybe a late night swim.

P.S. Candy realling enjoyed our 'nothing' day, but can't seem to grab the concept of 'nothing'. She's also given up her Taiwanese ways and got a suntan... even a sunburn, but the burn's cleared up and I've introduced her to the strange concept of SPF 15 sunblock, rather than the "Whitening SPF 50". I think she's coming around.

Goodbye from Thailand.
